Every organs, could be needlinged* and it should.
In Japan, department of Pathology; every organs, could be needlinged and it should.
At first I am amazing that almost all organs in our body can be needlinged.
Breast, Thyroid, Lymph node and some superficial soft tissue masses are needlinged.
It looks the same as in Thailand.
Later I see many deep organs such as; liver, intra-uterine cavity, and some deep osseous* tumor are needlinged.
Then the cytological studies are done.
The cell blogs are performed too.
And for each case the slides may be up to 20 slides!!!
All slides are examined by the cyto-technologist first and then be confirmed the diaggnosis by the Pathologist.
In Thailand cyto-technologists together with pathologists are limited, less than 300 person.
This is the reason for the small amount of our needlings?
I am not sure.

osseous*=bone
Just come back from the OPD of surgery.
The surgeon and the patient have a good relationships.
The patient is so nice with the physician.
The physician is so nice with the technician too.
It is the Japanese culture, I think, or may be the culture of the developed country ;p
