Title : THE DEVELOPMENT OF READING COMPREHENSION
EXERCISES FOR PRATHOMSUKSA SIX STUDENTS

Abstract
The purposes of this study were three folds: 1) to construct the Reading Comprehension Exercises and to find the efficiency of the exercises according to standard criterion 75/75 for Prathomsuksa six students, 2) to study the result of before and after using the Reading Comprehension Exercises by comparing the reading achievement of Prathomsuksa six students, and 3) to study the satisfaction of Prathomsuksa six students on the Reading Comprehension Exercises.
The experimental subjects of the study were purposive selected from 20 of Prathomsuksa six students in Phadungwittaya School under the Office of Phitsanulok Educational Service Area 3.
The instrument consisted of 1) six reading comprehension exercises,
2) a 30 - items reading achievement test which had the difficulty value of 0.20 – 0.80
and classification value of 0.20 – 0.80, and 3) the questionnaires of satisfaction on
the Reading Comprehension Exercises. The statistic used in this study were arithmetic means (), standard deviation (S.D), IOC, and t-test dependent.
The findings were as follows:
1. The Reading Comprehension Exercises had the efficiency value of 85.37/91.11 which was higher than the 75/75 standard criterion.
2. There were significantly differences at the level of .01 between reading achievements on the Reading Comprehension Exercises for Prathomsuksa six students before and after using the Reading Comprehension Exercises.
3. In whole, the satisfaction of Prathomsuksa six students on the Reading Comprehension Exercises was higher at 4.72. The value of the three aspects:
input evaluation, process evaluation, and product evaluation, were also higher at the level of 4.65, 4.69, and 4.82, respectively.
