ยูบิควิตัสเทคโนโลยี (Ubiquitous technology) สังคมยูบิควิตัส
(Ubiquitous society) หรือ ยูบิคอมบ์ (Ubicomp) เป็นทำให้เกิด สภาพแวดล้อมของการสื่อสารใหม่และเป็นแนวโน้มของสังคมสารสนเทศ ยูบิควิตัส เป็นภาษาลาติน มีความหมายว่า อยู่ในทุกแห่ง หรือ มีอยู่ทุกหนทุกแห่ง มาร์ค ไวเซอร์ (Mark Weiser) แห่งศูนย์วิจัย Palo Alto ของบริษัท Xerox ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา ได้ให้คำนิยาม "ยูบิควิตัสคอมพิวติง" ไว้ว่า เราสามารถเข้าถึงคอมพิวเตอร์ได้ทุกหนทุกแห่ง-สภาพแวดล้อมที่สามารถใช้คอมพิวเตอร์เชื่อมต่อกับเครือข่าย ไม่ว่าจะอยู่ในที่แห่งใด
