การประชุมอบรมเมื่อวันที่ 11 มิถุนายน 2551 ได้ชวนครูใหญ่จากอินโดนีเซีย มาร่วมแจมหลังพิธีเปิดของเราด้วย เธอพูดเข้ามือถือผม แล้วผมเปิดแฮนด์ฟรีให้ฟังกันบ้าง ซึ่งฟังแล้วไม่ค่อยชัด ก่อนหน้านั้น ได้ขอให้ครูที่ประสานด้วยให้ส่ง speech ของเธอมาให้ วันนั้นนำขึ้นเว็บไซต์ไม่ทัน จึงนำมาให้อ่านกันในที่นี้ว่าเธอพูดว่าอย่างไรบ้าง

Good Morning,

I am Arisuweni, the principal of SMP Negeri Cimahi, West Java, Indonesia.

First off all, I’d like to say that I’m very happy to have opportunity to communicate and share ideas in this good occasion.

Life in the globalization Era needs preparation. To be a part of world citizen, we also must have many skills, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and also networking become some crucial to support it.

My school, SMPN 1 Cimahi, as one of pioneering of International standarized school in My Country, Indonesia, is obligated to have foreign network partners, to share a lot of valuable and important information, not only in Curriculum, but also in Culture.

This occasion is a good opportunity to realize it, because we can communicate directly using skype. But I hope, we also can interact and communicate directly, face to face, having a kind of seminar or workshop and later we can have MOU of our partnership because it is really important as our evidence to our government. Then we can have teachers and students exchange, visit each other or having such as Home stay program for our students .

Before, I continue, I want to introduce my school with this profile. I hope you can have more description about my school.

SMPN 1 Cimahi profile

SMP Negeri 1 Cimahi is a Lower Education School. It was built in 1950. It is a state School and since 2007 we get International Standardized School. The students are in between 12 to 14 years old. We have about 900 students. There are 30 classrooms which are facilitated with LCD Projectors and internet connection. There are many things to share with other schools cos we study local cultures such as Angklung, Batik, Traditional dances,etc.

As far as I’m concerned, one of good ways to make relationship with foreign network partners is through CCO. CCO is a very good program. It gives lots of benefits for us, especially for our students. Through the program, our students can share many things ; their cultures, their experiences, their point of views about many interesting things that happens in the world, and many others.

I believe that CCO can really connect us in many aspects of life, so that we can build a mutual partnership and get lots of advantages from our partnership.

It’s very pleased for me to know that ,in one of the CCO programs, our students have been joining and conducting some school projects with their partners from other countries, like The Green School Project and other projects.

I hope such kinds of projects can make our students aware of the importance of information and communication technology for their life and give them ideas to develop more, by sharing their experiences during conducting the projects.

So, I think it’s no doubt that we should keep continuing our partnership through the CCO program and thank God we can realize the face to face meeting and also MOU, and let our students have a wide connection with other CCO members all over the world.
