Good news to see online voting (quick and much lower cost -to voters).
But I hope the council will consist of people from various sides (researches, training, practicing, logistics, accounting, public relations,…) of nursing. Diversity of skills seems essential for survival and growth nowadays. But working with diversity (democracy) is not easy. Innovation does not goes smooth with stability. One may sum up that Knowledge grows with Chaos.

Even though there have been changes, the progress has been very slow. The selected individuals are still concentrated within only certain groups. Although members’ awareness and participation in exercising their rights have increased, it is still not strong enough to drive real change.
I have no surprise for outcome, collectively (as I know no elected individual member). We are by tradition and training giving a lot of credit to ‘pole position’ holders, but never a credit to ‘team work’. (in other words, we glorify people but ignore process; so people beat each other to go to top by oneself, leaving the rest down the gully.) The utopia that ‘everyone’ live happily ever after…
Yes! It is to see and say, but little has progressed in many thousands years. Religions, political regimes, cultures and cults have had results but it seems ‘human’ nature is pulling back (to survival of the fittest core). We do not have magical powers. We can only try this again and that again. Let’s have fun doing it ;-)
