I like to share these findings (from my experience):- ทองอุไร (Tecoma stans), common English name ‘golden shower’; can have plenty of beautiful yellow flowers and lot of easy to germinate seeds (in bean-like pods); wood contains (turpentine) oil that deter termites; in colder regions, drop leaves in autumn and winter (I grow them for ‘mulching’).- สาละลังกา Couroupita guianensis, common English name ‘Cannonball tree’, native of central and south America; “..In India, the tree introduced from South America has been adopted as sacred to Hindus, who believe its hooded flowers look like the nāga, and it is grown at Shiva temples.[5] The cannonball tree has since then been planted at Buddhist and Hindu religious sites in Asia in the belief that it is the tree of sacred scriptures.
