I can stay on the word love for very long time. At one time I wrote some 4 pages of “love is …” and gave up after 30 minutes because there were just too many “images of love” flashed in my mind - too fast for my head to catch up - much too fast for my hand to write down. That was a realization that a word can mean so many things or be understood in so many ways.
In normalizing ‘love’ to have a ‘fair and just’ meaning for Buddhists, I looked up words like เสนห (sneha), สิเน่หา (sineha), เปรม (prem), … [from Latin] (Italian) amore, (German) liebe,… and looked up ‘platonic love’,… even words in more modern context (with genders).
I can say with confidence that most of us live and die in love. But love is not always a bliss without a pain. ;-)
