ระวัง อย่าสับสน คําข้างต้น กับ “enable”
การจะ “enable” “บางคน ให้ทําบางสิ่ง”
หมายถึง “ให้โอกาส เขา”ได้ทํา สิ๋งนั้นได้“
มิได้หมายความว่า “อนุญาต” ให้เขาทําสิ่งนั้นได้ เช่น
‘Contraception enable women to plan their families.’
‘The new test should enable doctors to detect the disease early.’
