เทศกาลสงกรานต์
เทศกาลสงกรานต์ตรงกับวันที่ 13 เมษายนและการฉลองประจำปีก็จะจัดให้มีขึ้นทั่วทั้งราชอาณาจักร ที่จริงแล้วคำว่า “สงกรานต์” นี้เป็นภาษาไทยซึ่งหมายถึง “เคลื่อนย้าย” หรือ “เปลี่ยนที่” เพราะว่าเป็นวันที่พระอาทิตย์เปลี่ยนตำแหน่งในทางจักรราศี นอกจากนี้ยังเรียกว่า “เทศกาลน้ำ” อีกด้วย เพราะว่าประชาชนเชื่อว่าน้ำจะพัดพาเอาสิ่งที่เป็นอัปมงคลออกไป
Songkran Festival
The festival falls on April 13 and the annual celebration is held throughout the kingdom. In fact, “Songkran” is a Thai word which means “move” or “change place” as it is the day when the sun changes its position in the zodiac. It is also known as the “Water Festival” as people believe that water will wash away bad luck.
