This research purposed to develop a model for academic administration of private universities to be excellence. The data were collected by means of 5-point rating scale questionnaires. At the end of questionnaire survey, a sample of 177 observations was obtained from administrators, lectures and special guest professors. Descriptive statistics were used to obtain frequency, percentage, average and standard deviation for each variable. According to the analysis, we found there were 8 factors affecting on academic administration of private universities to be excellence: 1) the teaching curriculum 2) the teaching management 3) the promotion of academic supervision 4) the development of academic quality 5) Supervision of Teaching 6) the supervisory and staff development 7) the academic services 8) the measurement and evaluation. After the focus group, 2 key success factors indemnified for academic administration of the universities to be excellence were to 1) ppractices and principles of strategic management and 2) development of academic administration based on the quality management concept: PDCA.
