เพราะพวกเขาต้องการมีชีวิตที่สุขสบายในช่วงวัยชรา ในตอนหนุ่มนั้นแม้ว่าพวกเขาจะมีชีวิตที่ลำบากแค่ไหนก็ไม่ลืมที่จะมีลูก พวกเขาไม่เคยสนใจว่าลูกจะมีชีวิตที่ลำบากไปด้วย เพียงเพื่อจะได้มีไว้เป็นคนคอยรับใช้ในอนาคต
พวกเขายอมทำทุกอย่าง ให้ตังค์ใช้ ส่งเข้าเรียน ควบคุมเพื่อให้เกิดภาพลักษณ์ที่ดูดีในสังคม ในวันที่ลูกคลอดคือวันที่มีคนคอยรับใช้เพิ่มขึ้น ยิ่งชีวิตของลูกเติบโตเจริญรุ่งเรือง เขาก็จะยิ่งดีใจเพราะมันสะท้อนถึงความมีชีวิตที่สุขสบายในปั้นปลายชีวิตของพวกเขา

I have children.
in raising children to be good and independent persons, to build their own family and to find happy medium (environment, profession, community, ...) to live and learn --all life long-- I have to make a lot of effort, spend time, spend money and share my space, on top of love and responsibility. I am sure a lot of parents raise their children like masters/princesses in the family. No, children are loved and cherished in Thai society. Where do you get this "raising children as slaves" idea from?
Let go of such negative attitudes and your life will be much happier and much sweeter.
