เด็กเรียนก่อนเกิด

เด็กเรียนก่อนเกิด

    "Be careful what you say around a pregnant woman. As a fetus grows inside a mother's belly, it can hear sounds from the outside world—and can understand them well enough to retain memories of them after birth, according to new research." The article begins to tell us that babies can learn long before they are born.
    A study 25 years ago, said babies can remember tunes their mothers listened to when they were in the womb. Later studies said babies can learn words when they were in the womb. Swedish babies in womb even learned English!
    This study (click below to read) confirms babies in womb can learn words in languages repeated to them in various tones and pitches. What more they still remember the words after they are born. The author's warning is justified.

    Just because a baby-in-utero can learn, a mother-to-be may try repeating language lessons to it. Doing so may overstimulate the baby's ears and brain; disrupt the baby's sleep and its other development!

I'd learned this from my own experience. During my terms of the three boys, I 'd been doing very different activities and they came out loving to do what I did when they were in my tummy.

Hi ครูหยิน :

It is as you say but please not ...a mother-to-be may try repeating language lessons to it. Doing so may overstimulate the baby's ears and brain; disrupt the baby's sleep and its other development!

Dear Dr. Ple  : what you have observed and noted may fit in with a certain theory in epigenetics (that certain genes in baby may be switched --on/off-- by conditions experienced by its mother. We should play safe and make motherhood a happy one from middle of pregnancy. I sympathize with teen mums and I am concerned that babies may be impacted gravely well before they are born. Perhaps, you can look into this further and innovate baby development ;-)

Thank you โอ๋-อโณ for sharing your experiences with your 'babies' (how old are they now? ;-) As I said to Dr Ple above, we nay influence child development in 'bad' ways and in 'good' ways from the time the baby is in womb. Perhaps, you and Dr Ple can find what work and what don't. You two may hold the key to build future good citizens of Thailand with utero learning and save money providing school learning.

How about it folks? Parenting starts before the baby is born!

I think it's been known by lots of current mum-to-be those with quite high income. However, in many hospitals nowadays we have many programs to help mum-to-bes prepare themselves in this regards. I'm now too old for such stories. :-) My boys are 22, 21, and 16 years old and I think I'm doing quite good in raising them as qualified people of the world. ;-)

Yes of course โอ๋-อโณ somehow those with money have better information and those who need better information often miss out. I am glad to hear that hospitals have programs to help mum-to-bes improving the chance of their baby in later life. Nothing is more satisfying for mums (and dads) than to see their children do well in their chosen paths in life. we hope that they too learn and apply this information to their babies and so on. So this becomes a culture a way of life. Your boys will soon prove this ;-) grandma-to-be ;-)
