เราเขียนลงใน G2K เพึ่อใคร/อะไร
Having been a member for several years, reading and sometimes sharing points of view (mostly in questions in parody ;-) and my own learning, I still forget what G2K is about. I am not really proud to be a member among other millions (I would join Facebook or Twitter for that). I am not really fond of pictures and songs (I would join Instagram, Bits Bucket, YouTubes, ... for those). I can blog in any 'global/world class' webboard (to my time and resources limits). So, why do I still come to G2K?
I look for and read again the aims of G2K. This time I ask some questions.

1) ส่งเสริม "การแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้" ซึ่งเป็นกิจกรรมด้านการจัดการความรู้ ด้วยการใช้งานเว็บล็อก (weblog) สู่การเสริมสร้างให้ "คนไทยมีสุขภาวะที่ยั่งยืน" หมายถึง คนไทยมีความสุขสี่ด้าน ได้แก่ กาย จิต สังคม และปัญญา
How do we measure success of G2K in this respect? Do certain health indicators of Thais at large show immprovement (attributable to G2K's content or workshops)? Do we have counts of items in G2K in each of the 4 categories of health (กาย จิต สังคม และปัญญา), theirs readership, their relationships among other items (as in a network of items), ...?
2) จัดเตรียมพื้นที่เสมือนและเครื่องมือสำหรับ "ชุมชนนักปฏิบัติ (Community of practice)" เพื่อสนับสนุนการแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้ระหว่างกลุ่มคนทำงานในสาขาอาชีพต่างๆ
Do we have examples of KM practitioners using G2K to organize. exchange and learn among their group members, across groups and at large? If so, do we have names (or handles), counts, sizes, goals and achievements (attributable to G2K)?
Can we list the tools and their uses?
3) สนับสนุนการเขียนเรื่องเล่าเร้าพลัง (storytelling) จากประสบการณ์และการเรียนรู้ของผู้เขียนเอง เพื่อเป็นประโยชน์ให้แก่ผู้อ่านได้นำไปประยุกต์ใช้หรือจุดประกายความคิดเพื่อให้ต่อยอดความรู้ในกิจกรรมการทำงานและกิจกรรมอื่นๆ ของผู้อ่านต่อไป

I also ask myself (as I have been doing before I post): Is this post for or against G2K's aims? Is it for a commercial or personal gain? Is it against any siila (as all Buddhists should do)? Is it a useless pursuit (at time I wonder about this strongly because there seem very few responses or reactions from other members)?
Now I ask you 'respected members of G2K', what and why do you write in G2k?

ส่วนตัวเริ่มใช้ G2k ไม่นานแต่รู้จักมานานแล้ว ส่วนตัวไม่ค่อยเขียน จะเข้ามาอ่านมากกว่า ตอนแรกก็อ่านทั่วไปแทบทั้งหมด
ประเมินกว้าง ๆเกี่ยวกับความรู้-มุมมองที่ได้รับ ต่อมาเริ่มเลือกอ่าน
การเขียน ตอนแรกก็เพียงการทดลองใช้เครื่องมือ หาสิ่งที่คิดว่ามีประโยชน์ มาเผยแพร่ต่อโดยอ้างอิงแหล่งที่มา

what and why do you write in G2k?
May I start with why :)
Honestly, I start writing in G2K to feed my own Ego.
Looking back my blogs have had contents I hope people read then they say 'WOW'.
Anyway, I gradually learnt what John Maxwell said,
"They don't care how much you know untill they know how much you care (them)".
Nowaday, I still be 'individualistic' person. However, I also feel easier to get along with people.
What I write.
There are three criterias of what I love blog it.
1. Less judgement
2. More questions (as yours)
3. High hope
In conclusion, I blog Gotoknow with personal believe that 'developing oneself lead to developing society'

May I ask further questions?
To Wasawat Deemarn : How far do we want to go to ensure we quote and give credit to the "originator" of "materials' and/or "concepts" we use in our posts? Should we also have a "standard way" to give references?
To ธวัชชัย : I am also interested in "your" reply. So, as a technical supporter of G2K, can we build "tools" to help G2K achieve the set goals as measured by a certain set of measurable indicators (KPIs)? Can we add tools to allow data and "knowledge extraction and analysis" (like aggregator or smart search engine) from G2K database?
To ทะเลงาม : Do you wish for a "persanal first page of G2K containing only posts meeting your liking by certain criteria you enter" (in computerese -- a stored search criteria such as "keyword=z or y or (z and a); dateposted<2 days; poster in list [MyfavouriteBloggers, list[I-follow]];..." used to build personal firstpage.)?
To Yanyong-P : It seems that you are learning the way I am learning -- by sampling and experimenting and making my own conclusion/knowledge and checking what I have learned later ;-) What are on your wish list that G2K should have?
To ป. : May I first offer my congratulations to you for your higher learning. I read most of your blog and see the growing strength in you. more focus and more candid. I think I can say G2K does contribute to some of your progress. Have you thought of telling your story in conferences, in G2K, in a (e)book?
And a note for me : There are people who try to understand my posts -- try harder with "Plain and Simple English" ;-)
GotoKnow is my place to give and take without actual commitment. You can be yourself and learn from others. I think most of the people who continuously spend their time with Gotoknow can tell how this place helps improving their lives. The growing numbers of users and the way they interact (from numbers of flowers given, comments...) can be shown in numbers but what you want to measure may not be as simple, probably similar to our life, how you measure your success. It doesn't count just by something you can see.
My perception of independence to learn.
No limit.
g2k taught me to recognize the value of their own.
It allows me to learn to develop.
May not be disclosed directly to the output.
But I'm happy. Take me to learn and happy to nice share.

I understand your replies and 'why you write in G2K'.
I agree with you that it is not easy to measure the success of G2K as specified in goals #1 and #2. (Goals #3 and #4 may be supported by comparing counts at different dates.) My questions about goals #1 and #2 maybe argued in 2 different ways: (like in management of a nation) by $ [e.g. income, production, technology and 'power'] or by Q [for quality e.g. health, sufficiency, happiness and cohesion].
G2K by the numbers can be said to be successful by growth of members, products. use of latest (global) technologies and support from sponsors are on the book. (But, growing numbers may be related to progress in goal #1 and #2 only in probability sense ie. larger the numbers, more the chance of meeting the goals. If G2K can provide statistics that show better/improved clustering about its goals; in other words hitting the targets more often with '"legal" materials' (more relevant and legal posts - advertorials excluded), G2K can then claim 'high quality achievement for its goals'.
G2K may need other positive indicators to support its claim for succeeding it goals. Perhaps G2K may need to satisfy some of the goals of sponsoring bodies -- that is to use the same measuring tapes as ones used by its sponsors. As G2K is now flying on wings of external technologies and providers, with (perhaps without) a plan to continue its services (business model) by securing further sponsors' support, G2K has to be 'easily' seen as measurably beneficial to continue sponsoring. Otherwise, a fallback/emergency plan may be needed to continue on with lower-cost infrastructures or with fund-raising campaign or with eventual end.
