การนำเสนอ case study ครั้งที่สอง ดิฉันได้เลือกกรณีศึกษาที่ฝึกงานที่โรงพยาบาลสงขลานครินทร์ เป็นผู้ป่วยเพศชาย อายุ 31 ปี แพทย์วินิจฉัยว่าเป็น Lt. hypoglossal foramen tumor แพทย์ส่งมาที่กิจกรรมบำบัดด้วยเรื่องกระตุ้นกลืน

ประเด็นที่สนใจในการนำเสนอครั้งนี้คือ การเพิ่มคุณภาพชีวิตในผู้ป่วย brain tumor เนื่องจากตอนที่เจอผู้ป่วยยังไมไ่ด้มองผู้ป่วยในจุดนี้ตอนนั้นมองเฉพาะด้านร่างกายเพียงด้านเดียวจึงอยากหาความรุ้เพิ่มเติมเพื่อประโยชน์ในการฝึกปฏิบัติงานครั้งต่อไป

Quality of life in adults with brain tumors

specific symptoms that affect QOL : cognitive function ,

sleep,pain,seizures,fatigue,mood disturbance

 

result : - Depression and anxiety may biologic foundations in brain tumor patients.

           - Malignant glioma patients are particularly affected by fatigue, whereas low-grade glioma patients have a large burden from seizures.

 

Model Overall QOL

  - Treatment Factors 

      Affect brain tumor patients’ overall QOL include surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, and medications

 -Tumor Factors

      Tumor location and laterality correlated to several specific symptoms.

- Patient Factors

      Gender differences : higher levels of mood disturbance have been found in women with brain tumors than in men, but not in all studies
