Location

            Nakhon Sawan Province, also known as Pak Nam Pho is where the rivers of Ping, Wang, Yom, and Nan converge and form the Chao Phraya River, the most important waterway of Thailand. Nakhon Sawan is in the lower northern part of the country between the North and the Central Region. It is regarded as the doorway to the North and it is the hub of transportation in the Lower North.

2) The Dragon parade at Chinese New Year

The Chinese New Year or Trut Chin in Thai is a festival of thanksgiving and ancestor worship, and a time of family reunion. The festival means so much to the Chinese and the Thais of Chinese descent the same way as the Christmas means to the Westerners.In Nakhon Sawan, you will find a grand celebration full of excitement throughout the 11-day-period of the festival. The procession of about 1,500 participants usually comes with spectacular acrobatic performances such as climbing up an over 10-metre pole to get the money reward on the top of it.


3) Relax at Bung Borapet Lake

This is, depending on the water level, a small sized lake, or a large sized swamp, occupying a vast area. It is the largest aquaculture source of freshwater fish in Thailand. There is a museum and aquarium with many species of fresh water fish. Bung Borapet is also a regulary visited Place of migratory Birds , this makes it also a Bird watchers paradise. Near the museum there is also a small Lake with Crocodile for visitors to watch these magnificient Animals. crocodiles are also raised there and visitors are also welcome to have a look into the breeding Grounds. Bueng Borapet is currently getting additionally developed and will be one of Nakhon Sawan's attractions.


4) Taste the delicious fish from Pak Nam Pho

-         Baan Isaan Restaurant & VIP Karaoke

The Baan Isaan is one of the best Thai restaurants in Nakhon Sawan, it is a relaxed restaurant that offers excellent Food and the also have VIP Rooms for Private parties. Some of these VIP Rooms are also equipped with full size Snooker tables. Additionally, every VIP room has a different Style & Design, Japanese, Chinese, Country , French "Louis Room". -         The Reon Raprom Restaurant (floating Restaurant on Chao Phraya River)

The Reon Raprom Restaurant is a floating restaurant on Chao Phraya River, besides of great Thai Food, you also have Live Music in the evening and they have a Projector Screen too. So you can watch Football on the big Screen. To have a nice evening Dinner on the Chao Phraya is certainly not to be missed. This Restaurant has nice looking interiors as well. -         The Kasorn Beer House

The Kasorn Beer House is located right in center of Town which makes it easy to get there. Their Food is Thai and done at it's best. The interiors are comfortable and cozy. The staff is very friendly and the Kasorn Beer House has received a variety of certification/awards for their outstanding Food.  The Restaurant isn't large and gives you the feeling of getting the special attention. 5) Relax and exercises at Sawan Park

Sawan Park is in Nakhon Sawan Municipality beside the Asian Highway. It was originally a large swamp with an area of 502,400 square meters called Nong Som Bun. It was later made into a sizable public park with 2 ring roads encircling it. The middle of the park is an beautiful island with an area of 6,400 square meters. The park has a garden, lawn, fountain, outdoor stage, waterfall, and rose garden. Activities in this Park are Aerobic Dance, Jogging, Thai-Chi, Football, Basketball ...and there are Fitness Machines to use around the park .

-         The Sakthong Resort

This Resort was opened in March 2007 and it has 20 lovely decorated Rooms which are clean, functional and comfortable as well. To go to some nice restaurants this Resort  is only about 1 km from the well known Baan Isaan Restaurant and 1,5 km from the Reon Raprom Restaurant.
