In the middle ages, Pilgrims would go to the Holy land to worship the Lord. Then, the Turks or the Muslims captured the Holy land and treated the Pilgrims cruely and killed many of them.
One early day in 1096, the Pope of Rome came to make a speech. He said, “Our people who is in the Holy land is treated cruely and are put to death. We have to rescue the Holy land from the Muslims. Let God bless you.” That day 5,000 men marched to the Holy land, some died of hunger or were attacked unexpectedly causing many deaths before reaching there. When troops reached the Holy land there were 2,000 men left and there were few supplies left. After three day, they fought continually and now 500 men were left. The troops were losing hope and seriously injured. A priest in the army had a dream that God showed him where the holy spear was bury. The next day they dug at the spot and found the Holy spear. The troops were very happy and now were filled with hope. They believe that they could win the war with such a Holy weapon so they ran out and fought with such rage, they killed and chased the Turks away.
They have won the war and conquered the Holy land back. Pilgrims could go worship the Lord again. They celebrated for days and a big cemetery was made to honor the troops who died.
It was a great achievement to the troops and their country.
