Pratunam Platinum
Pratunam Platinum is one of the most popular shopping center in Bangkok. It's located at Pratunam area close to Pantip Plaza. If you wanna buy some cheap clothes, dressing stuff, textile, or jeans, you can visit here.
Normally, all products are sold in the 'wholesale' price, which means you have to buy at least 3 pieces of that items in order to get the wholesale price and can't buy only 1 piece even you'd prefer to pay more. But on Sunday, as a lot of shoppers visit the place and make the competition goes high, we can buy only one piece but of course for the retail price.
Yesterday, we spent 4 hours there walk around the 5-story building buying stuff. I bought 2 polo shirts @220 Baht each while my wife bought earings and T-shirts. It's quite a nice experience shopping there, although the traffic was very bad on both outside and inside the building dued to the very heavy rain. I felt like I was walking in Shen-Chen in China. The only minor different are you can't bargain that much here and it's more cleaner (no one spits on the floor!).
At Shen-Chen, if the price said 800 Yuan, you can bargain it to 200 Yuan or even 100 Yuan without any problems (don't be shy, try it and you'll learn the good part of the bargain). But here, you can get around 20 Baht discount maximum as the price is the wholesale price, no need ask for more discount unless you wish to buy in bulk.
After shopping, I went to Tony Roma:Siam Paragon for my ABAC-C.E.M. (Computer Engineering Management) reunion dinner. I was looking forward to it as I wanted to meet my C.E.M. friends and chat. Even there were only 10 were there instead of 15 as expected, I still enjoyed the night.
