 I agree with you that we all are socialized by "what our society thinks good".  I personally think that some current social norms are good and some might be inappropriate to modern day. The point is we don't clearly know what is really good and what should be changed.

Your argument about life experience is also interesting. Yes, we are learning by experiences, either of our own or of our past generations. And of course, we will learn about our social norms forever. This is, I think, never-ending process. We all here are living for learning, arn't we?

My point is not to deny all current social norms krab. I tend to follow most of them. Only few of them should be adapted. We, as a current generation, should also pave good social norms for our future generations so that our society will grow and develop. Otherwise, our children can blame us that we have not contributed any good things for them.
