On the front side, SSAMESA looks very good for internationalizing [Thailand] healthcare (at least exposure to common languages and English and connections). But as no funding model is mentioned, one may assume major support from China medical services which may in turn get support from China’s Industries and Governments. This may mean medical equipment and pharmaceuticals made in China are preferred.
Thailand may be able to export more medical services in several [much needed now] areas (such as elder care [nurses or carers], disability support, and occupational therapy support, where [English] language and interpersonal communication skills are necessary. Business opportunities for after retirement services to long term overseas visitors in Thailand may be enhanced by engaging in and learning from SSAMESA.
