I think we have to be clear about Buddhists and ‘Buddhist teaching’. People do not always do everything by the teaching. Many people say they are ‘Buddhists’ though they do not practice by the teach at all. Many people do a lot of things by the teaching yet do not say they are ‘Buddhists’. (So we have types of ‘errors’ as in statistics and politics.)
