We say “we keep and train dogs”. The fact is quite a different point of view. We are very much ‘dogs servants’ - serving them for their essential needs - for what? A bit of love, affection and loyalty - no matter what?

A dog can serve us in a way only older and lonelier people can understand - having a friend!
