Another aspect of food (or eating) is cultural (traditional) perception that- good food looks great (big, fat, beautiful, …)- good food tastes sweet, creamy (fatty), … with soft, smooth texture (feel) in the mouth- good behaviour in children is rewarded with ‘sweet’ (sugar and carbohydrates, fat and salt)- cooking aims for taste and look (not for nutrition - not for food values for health and growth)- expensive food is good (not counting the cost of ‘rent’, ‘labour’ and ‘profit’ in the price of food)- imported and exotic foods are better than local, ordinary, everyday food…We can think about food a bit more carefully and choose the bits that serve us better. Right?
