I have a question on this: …เมืองป้องปุตร(ป้องปุดตะระ) …ตั้งอยู่บนปากแม่น้ำเชื่อมติดต่อกันระหว่างอ่าวไทยกับทะเลอันดามัน ที่เมืองปะแลนดาหรืออำเภอปะเหลียน (ใน ตรัง)…” As I know from a visit to Southern Thailand years ago, there is a mountain range between Pattalung and Trang. This means that “…เมืองป้องปุตรมีลักษณะเด่นกว่าเมืองอื่นคือ 1 มีช่องแคบเป็นเส้นทางเดินเรือระหว่างทะเลอ่าวไทยกับทะเลอันดามันได้สะดวก…” is not quite the description for today’s geography. Perhaps, back in time (2000 years ago) there was a river connecting Andaman seas and Gulf of ?Suvannabhumi? (Thailand). I think more detailed explanation on these แม่น้ำเชื่อมติดต่อกันระหว่างอ่าวไทยกับทะเลอันดามัน and มีช่องแคบเป็นเส้นทางเดินเรือระหว่างทะเลอ่าวไทยกับทะเลอันดามันได้ would be good for curious readers (like me) and children who learn Thai history.

Would you please explain or give us the name of that river or strait?
