GDP includes among other ‘negative incomes’ spending on ‘un-productive’ activities (floods, fires, sicknesses, …) which a great number of people suffer from but a few companies and investors make profits on.

Government spending on big infrastructure projects often does not increase people employment or income nor provides saving for people. It is easy to see that ‘electricity power generating plants’ give industries ‘cheaper and more readily available energy’ but householders pay higher price for electricity and hidden price in healthcare due pollution and mismanagement and…

GDP is not a measure of people’s prosperity.
