Yes it is sad that our ‘effort to see for ourselves’ come to naught because we are ‘too late’ (in getting there).

I had the same experience when I looked for ‘ancient Thai gardens’ a few years ago. It seemed that ‘our national heritage and treasures; had been wastefully ‘squandered’.

I have a picture of a few hundreds years old tree –hidden away by some 2 hours walk from ‘car-road’. It could be ‘only picture’ that we will ever get to see of the tree.
