Thank you for this very insightful and paradigmatic change. I think I detect that the board see that change is necessary but unsure of how to change (in a PDCA manner?). This gives hope but indefinite hope (no goal, no trip plan, no timetable).

I also somehow feel that the article should explain terminologies (like ‘omic technologies’, PDCA; for the benefits of ‘young’ thinkers who will one day come to assume roles like this). And to be less advertising (Galaxy Note 8; the fact that a note is made on a specific device is immaterial and can be seen as endorsing).

I like the point made quite clearly that ‘working by the book has no where to go, more innovative and corporately responsible thinking may prove better’ (Here I see a paradoxical conflict of interests: established with experienced board or new blood with ideas). Perhaps a good mix can serve the people well.
