Testimony (from ‘verb to testify’; [folklore has it] from Latin ‘testis’ –in modern English ‘testicles’– in ancient Rome, when two men were taking an oath in a public forum, in order to express their truthfulness they were holding and swearing upon their testicles.) is “คำแถลง ว่าเป็นความจริง” –sworn WORDS of truth–

Evendence (from Latin eviden- = obvious; verb is ‘to evince’ = to show clearly) is “หลักฐานที่เชื่อถือได้” –THINGS of truth–.
