I think general perception of the culture of มวยไทย is very much ‘fast and effective knockout fighters’ – not a bunch of sophisticated mindset practitioners.

The perception is very much the same as for นักเลง – as rogues or tugs instead of people of strict moral and conduct.

More PR is needed to change these negative perceptions.
