I read this "...ผมมองว่าหากจะขับเคลื่อนประเทศไทยสู่ ๔.๐ ต้องใช้พลังนวัตกรรม  และอุดมศึกษาเป็นพลังหลักที่จะร่วมขับเคลื่อนนวัตกรรมให้แก่ประเทศ..." and felt that we have neglected 1) pure science which is the underlining of most innovative applications; and 2) innovations at technical or trade level where most need for and experience of innovative applications occur.

University level innovation may be mostly imaginative lacking in empirical backgrounds. But technical or trade level innovation may be directed to solving actual needs and so lacking in 'pure science' support (or scientific justification). On the other hand 'large resources in the population' are not even given a chance in the development of innovative society, why?

Should we have (funded) programs to promote innovation in society (young and old) now and on the journey toward Thailand 4.0?
