may cause another confusion. Real 'currant' is a 'berry' from a bush (as it is originally intended), but due to translation of '(black) Corinth' (a kind of dark grapes in Greece), we come to call dry undersized black grapes as (Zante) currants. (See wikipedia - Zante currant https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...)
Note. Raisins are dry white/green grapes that turn dark when dry. Sultanas are also dry white grapes that turn yellow when dry.
One more point to note 'currency' (ie. money) is another meaning related to 'current' ;-)
