<p “=”“>Love to see tress and plants in pics. Whe we look carefully they tell stories of themselves and events in the time past.

<p “=”“>I was looking for evidence of “ancient Thai” gardens at historical sites from the West (Kanchanaburi) to the East (Ubonrachathani), and sadly found none! I summed up my failure as official “Thai archaeologists” see importance of rocks and stones more (a lot more) than trees and plants. Even at places that are ‘said to be’ herbs centre - medicinal hospices. We decimated gardens to show the glory of stones.

<p “=”“>Sadder still is the level of development at “Khau Yai National Park’. With roads, noisy car traffic, restaurants, hotels/resorts,… No longer a forest of diversity but a commercial venue - like abandonned shopping malls.

<p “=”“>But as you say, as long as we have forests in our heart, forests will live on.
