So we should not use 'being that'/'seeing that'/... UNLESS we know what we are saying ;-)

I think the same goes for use of 'gerund as noun phtase' eg. 'having 2 days to spare...'; 'getting a good job isn't easy'... (in Plain and simple English we would say - we have 2 days to spare and It isn't easy to get a good job. ....;-)
