Effective Teamwork and Value Creation
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chalearmpol discussed about the attributes of high performance workteam in response to change. Leader of a team should be open-minded and able to identify the right goal and communicate to his team in a clear and precise manner.
More importantly, he should be able to choose the right person for the right job by looking at his subordinate’s personality and expertise.
Managing Self-performance
Some core competencies are essential for the success of a person. Some of these competencies are visible; some may be categorized as knowledge and skills; and some may be hidden. In order to ensure the success in a work, clear communication and feedback are the keys.

Assoc. Dr. Somchai drew his vast experience into the talk which examined the economic and regional grouping and showed the way on how these happenings may affect PSU; and more importantly how we as leaders of the university may react to these phenomena.
He also argued that the PSU leaders should understand the paradox of what is happening today. For example, there is globalization; there should be anti-globalization counterpart. Thus, there are groups of people who do not agree with what have been brought about under globalization banner and reacted to them negatively. However, PSU should see opportunities and provide some courses and trainings suitable for students and staff to take advantage of such events and help them to life peacefully in this world.
