In my view (of an advocate for Plain and Simple English) this:

"...ทางปฏิบัติ ปัจจุบันบางครั้งใช้ former และ latter เหมือนคำพ้องของ first และ last

ใช้อ้างอิงเป็นประจำ เพื่อเปรียบเทียบความแตกต่าง ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับสิ่งที่มี มากกว่าสอง

ซี่งยังไม่เป็นที่ยอมรับ ว่าเป็นรูปแบบการใช้ภาษาที่ถูกต้อง

ดังตัวอย่างเช่น ถ้าอ้างอิงถึง winter, spring and summer.

ถือว่าถูกต้องเมื่อกล่าวว่า I found the last most enjoyable.

มิใช่ I find the latter most enjoyable..."

would be clearer to listeners if we say "I found summer more/the most enjoyable." -- when the subject (in this case 'summer' -- not the third/last on a list somewhere the most listeners have aleady forget).
