I have a little note on suffix -ful and -some that i use quite often.

(adjective/noun) words with -ful have more or less a sense of 'filled' with 'that word' eg. fearful is filled with fear; dreadful is filled with dread; handful is filled the hand;...

And -some words have more or less a sense of 'cause of'/'causing' 'that word' eg. fearsome is causing fear; awesome is cause of awe; handsome is ... ;-)
