I agree with you absolutely.

It has been a long time that we put 'Buddhism' religion on the alter for worship. We have not looked at what we are really worshiping for a long time. It is time for a resolution ('สังคายนา') so we can all be (w)holy in harmony again.

Would anyone care to give 'exact translation' (from Paali - without rendering wih comments) of the 'siila'?
