I think it could be easier yo learn how words (in English) are "dressed up" to express details in meaning. Learning how words change can help with analysis of their meanings in use.
For examples:
'bob' has several meanings (look it up) but 'Bob' is a male name - the difference? 'b' and 'B'.
We have learned about 'an apple' and 'apples' - the word 'apple' is dressed up with article 'an' to mean 'one apple' and suffixed with 's' to mean 'many apples'; but 'a child' means one child and 'children' means 'many children'; and so on.
Now consider 'a childrens court': children is suffixed with 's' to mean "'a children's court" that is "a court for children".
