We have problems feeding the world population (expected 9 billions by 2050). Thailand's economy is tied to that food production. GMO can be a solution -- as it speed up processes of (man-biased) cultural-selection. But when issues of climate change and resources distribution ("the real economy") are considered, we should see that we need "knowledge" to speed up "conditional selection" processes in order to adapt to changing conditions. Methods in sciences can help, but "vision" is necessary.
