I fail to see any "input" to '[teacher]'. But having no input, [teacher] is only a constant/stagnant source --no change/no improvement/no innovation/... In evolutionary theory, such source is 'doomed' to die off because it cannot adapt to changes in its environment.

I think [teacher] should takes input from many other sources including [learner] or its own [student] ;-)
