Last time in Thailand I tried a few dishes, Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, Thai (top restaurants), Thai rural roadside stalls, Barbecued (cold) Chicken, fried insects, ...

I ended up, nearing the end of my trip, ordering most time dishes like scrambled eggs, porched eggs, boiled eggs and fish and vegetable (hot, sour, plain) soups. Because I didn't care much for fatty, oily, salty, sweetened dishes anymore. I think, in a few years time, Thais will suffer from their 'modern dishes' (or modern style of cooking). Public health is at stake here and hospitals are right to push for healthy and more OLD traditional dishes.

Leave fast food for the fast fly-by-night. Let us cook slowly and eat slowly with family and friends!
