My mango trees are raided by bats every night. They eat some 10 mangoes and scratch and drop another dozen of green mangoes.

Mangoes are selling at $2 each at the supermarket. So bats are costing me about $50 a night. But i think of this as a way to help to keep the world's biodiversity alive. Bats are feared (because of a silly story -- Dracula), chased out of their habitat, poisoned by herbicides and insecticides, ... They are possibly at the end of long survival story. Soon, we will see them only in the pictures!

I hear that rose apples, when fermented naturally with 25% (by weight of fruits) sugar and water (enough to cover the fruits), make excellent "probiotic drink" (wine in no air fermentation, or vinegar in open-to-air fermentation).
