There are many factors for fish survival. - overfishing and large scaled trawling in both the Pacific and the Indian oceans - industrial wastes (especially on the eastern sea board) - agricultural fertilizer and domestic chemical run-offs (oils, soaps, shampoos, detergents,...) - global warming (as indicated by coral bleaching) - ...
If we can think about mothers and babies and how they can live on in this present time, may be we come to understand how the natural world works.
And that "ecology" is much more than "economy".
