I have just been through many mountains of foods in many markets and shopping centres in Thailand. Two things become clear to me:
1) Thai food is being loaded with sugar, fat and salt (on top of other farm chemicals)
In latter years, our healthcare systems will bear witness to this, and taxpayers' money will be spent on the cumulative effects of sugar, fat and salt.
2) Most snacks (traditional and modern processed and packaged food) are full of 'preservatives' of one kind or another to ensure long "shelf life" of the snacks. These preservatives means the micro-organisms in our guts cannot break the snacks down so cannot turn the snacks into "food" that our body can used. In facts "preservatives" are poisons to micro-organisms -- outside and inside our body.
Again in latter years, accumulated poisons and effects will show up by overloading our healthcare systems.
Who are most affected by so-called "food" today? It is our children! It is us who buy these poisons and feed them to our children. Worse is we do this at special times -- as rewards for achievement, good deeds, good times, ... We do not stop to think -- we are killing our own children while appraising them!
