A (sci) paper I read some time ago says "when our body is in motion, our brain has to do a lot of computation -- to keep balance, to move just the right way, just the right amount and just in time,..."

Many people think that thinking is exercising the brain. This paper says playing games, dancing, physical working (painting, writing, playing with children,...) all are good brain exercises.
