I have similar idea: a vehicle in two parts -- a (passenger or load) cabin and a (horse) towing motor and possibly remote (wireless) control. The horse may be electric and battery but allows for quick change so the horse can get charged while the cabin can keep going.

Yep, the days of Cob and Co. horse drawn coaches running (without drivers) is soon coming to your local town ;-)
