If we look at the way of the world from a Buddhist's view, we see the changing in people lives but often not enough changing in the way we handle changes. Stafford Beer a Cyberneticist said that "varities in system must be capable of handling varieties in environment" for the system to function effectively. In modern terms this says "we must evolve to meet evolution around us". If we fail to evolve or become less "fit", we become "imperfect".
[But note that people may refer to "careless" as "imperfect" too, not just "not having capacity to meet novel challenges". The two bases for imperfection are at different points ;-) ]
In a way, that "different starting points, often lead to different endings" when apply to palliative care, we should look at "in the long term" how to care for our own health from kindergarden to death. This is "culture" of how we live, eat, work, look after our family and environment.
For now, we are like firefighters, putting out spot fires. We run around and keep on battling but never win the real war. This is our imperfection in our "vision" -- our failure to see the bigger picture.
Good luck.
