There are many Mon descendants still practice pottery the Mon ways at เกาะเกร็ด (อำเภอปากเกร็ด นนทบุรี).

Sadly, due to market demand, most of their skills and arts are getting buried in making only common planting pots and clay mortars. They are much more capable than that (enamel-ware, colour tiles, enamel urns, jars, ...).

Like แม่เต่า her more creative askills and arts are getting buried because "all we/they want from her are bricks and roof tiles".
