I had in the back of my mind something not quite "in place" and "yes, I found it here" Let me correct it and put this out of the back of my mind. In my previous comment (see above) I typed "beauro" when I meant "bureau". I had in mind a weird and funny side of English from 2 words "bureau" and "beaurocracy", Both read much alike but the spelling are quite opposite. This was meant to be a little point in next Plain and Simple English post. It got lost and appeared here.
Now back to your blog. "...ขายแต่ส้มตำแต่ไม่มีคนเลย เขาไปเข้าร้านอาหารนอกหมด เลยต้องเอาอาหารเลี่ยนมาผสม..."
Multi-cultural Thailand has been going for a long while now. Diversity in foods (and husbands) has gone far and wide when Thais open their doors with smiling faces. I see that the current is strong and the way to survive is to keep afloat on top (not to struggle in current and drown). A way to rise to the top, I think, is to create a place Thais will call 'home'. Home is where love and forgiveness blend with rivalry and sharp pains of sharing same space. We have been 'home' (I have been -less) and we are going not back but to build 'new home', new family, new space and new (innovated) Thailand.
Whether, we would pile up and burn 'undesirable' like what happened in Alexandria, Rome, Berlin, ... or we would bury and build on top... and desstroy the true history... I would not guess. But I dream of seeing a new magnificant tree emerging from bushfire burnt forest ground.
