There is an issue that has puzzled me for years now.

How did we come to adopt Pali as Thai Eg. ก ค gaama คาม ค ก kamma กรรม บ พ buddha พุทธ พ บ paala บาล ด ท pada บท ท ด vatta วัด ...?

Is Thai version of Pali more "original" than Singhalese (Sri Lankan) version? Do we have "written" (on palm leaves) "Thai alphabet" tipitaka dated back to Ayuddhaya or Sukhothai to compare with "Ratanakosin" version and set the date for above derivation of Thai-style Pali?
