I wonder what you have in mind when you say ราก

I can see beetroot, carrot, radish, swede, turnip, ... potato, sweet potato, taro, yam, sago, cassava, water chestnut, ... ginger, galanga, tumeric, ...

Even peanuts could be considered parts of roots ;-)
